Phil DuBois is a gifted musician who has released one and soon two CD's:

The CD “Songs of Deliverance” compiles music that was especially meaningful to Phil during the days of recovery and adjustment following his family’s tragedy.
Mourning Into Dancing
These songs celebrate God’s redemption of defeat into victory, His restoration of failure to success. Songs are expected to include:
- That’s Where the Joy Comes From. When Phil and Tammy were engaged, he sang this song to her. “Every perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights, from the Lord of love.” Phil considered Tammy to be one of the Father’s “perfect gifts.”
- For the First Time. One of Phil’s friends, Lynn Foss, gave this song to him, claiming that it must have been written just for him. A man who finally understands the joy and freedom of living in Christ says that he’s ready to fly “for the first time.”
- I Choose Joy. One of Phil’s lifelong philosophies has been, “I can’t always control what happens to me, but I can control my response to what happens to me.” When disaster strikes, each person faces a choice of his attitude. Joy is a choice. When we have the certainty of knowing that all situations are in God’s control and part of His plan for our lives, then there is no cause for fear, only joy.
- Mourning into Dancing. Robert Rogers has become a close friend to Phil. Robert played and sang this song at the funeral of his wife and four children. When he shared this story with Phil, the song became meaningful to him as well. “You’ve turned my mourning into dancing again. You’ve lifted my sorrows. I can’t be silent; I must sing for Your joy has come.”
- Redeemed. This is an old hymn with a lesser-known melody. God can redeem anyone and anything, even the most tragic circumstance and the most broken heart.
- Friend of God. This song was sung in church on the last Sunday that Phil and Tammy worshipped together – April 15, 2007 at the Atlantic Shores Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. Many of us face negativity, wondering if and why God would care about such a broken, dirty, sinful person as ourselves. When God redeems us, we become His children and His friends. He yearns to have a close, intimate, meaningful relationship with each of us.
- Shackles. We celebrate the freedom that Christ has brought us when He broke the chains that held us captive. We cannot free ourselves from sin’s bondage, but Christ is eager and willing to break those bonds for us. “Take the shackles off my feet so I can dance. You broke the chains; now I can lift my hands. I just want to praise You.”
- You Put this Joy in My Heart. When we focus on the many blessings that God has provided, versus the perceived things we lack, we have many reasons to rejoice and thank God.
- Never Gonna Steal My Joy. The joy that God gives is secure. Disasters may continue to happen, but nothing can shake the joy that God has planted firmly in our hearts. The world has no power over God’s joy.
- Made Me Glad. The Psalms cover such a wide range of human emotion. They give us a solid rock to believe in when other foundations become shaky. “I’ll say of the Lord You are my Shield, my Strength, my Portion, Deliverer, my Shelter, Strong Tower, my Very Present Help in time of need.”
- Turned My Mourning into Dancing. Steve Green’s song from the 80’s came to Phil’s mind – a light, airy, catchy tune based on Psalm 30.
- My Deliverer. We are powerless to deliver ourselves from the bondage of sin. When Christ, our Deliverer, sets us free from sin upon our acceptance of His sacrifice on our behalf, we have every reason to celebrate and praise Him.
